Description
The AKM-63 is a Hungarian-made assault rifle. Its tactical parameters are very similar to its “forefather”, but it features a more modern and economical production process than the original AKM. The firearm retains a plastic gun-stock and a pistol grip, which helped to reduce recoil. An interesting fact is that the plastic components shattered into pieces at -30 degrees when dropped from 2.5 meters, so they were replaced with beech wood. The beech wood variant is called the AMM (Automata Modernizált Magyarított), more commonly known as the AK-63 F, where “F” stands for “fatusa” (meaning: wooden stock). A multifunctional bayonet was also made for the firearm, which could be used for cutting strain wire.
